Thank you for making our project a reality!
Here's a quick rundown:
In order to receive updated shipment locations, we are sending out a BackerKit survey to collect this information.
. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
Why you should open a BackerKit account?
If you need to change your survey responses, purchase add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey e-mail again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can contact us directly and give us your information - but answering your survey directly will help us get your rewards out to you faster.
BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact us sat [email protected]
Our BackerKit Pre-order store is OPEN!
For those of you that missed backing the project, good news - BackerKit is also hosting a Pre-Order Store.
In our store, you will find the Aura device, extra filters and a new line of Aura home textile products.
We are proud to present our Aura Home textile: Our smart fiber (also used in our unique Ray filter), fusing 100% natural cotton with copper oxide to provide ultimate skin care and protection.
Aura 100% Cotton Terry Towels Set - CottonX™
Aura Hand Towel Set - CottonX™
WHY COPPER?
Copper is an essential element of life. It is a powerful anti-bacterial and deodorizing agent and has a role in conditioning and maintaining the healthy appearance of the skin. Copper can be found in super-foods such as almonds and avocado. Research has shown that copper is key in several processes of skin formation and regeneration. When using copper-infused textiles, positive cosmetic effects are noted, such as a significant reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and improvement in general appearance, all within several weeks of use. Using copper oxide compound, we are applying the purest and the most natural form of copper. It is non-soluble in water and does not contaminate the environment. Our technology is EPA approved.
WHY COTTON?
Cotton is the most popular natural fiber used worldwide. It is environmentally-friendly, biodegradable and, most important, good for your skin. Cotton has always been the fiber of choice due to its comfort, breathability and softness. Cotton’s hypoallergenic qualities make it the ideal fiber for users with sensitive skin, and perfect for use in hygiene products. Nature has endowed cotton with a superior ability to both absorb and release revitalizing compounds. This makes it the optimal fiber for applying skin-enhancing technologies.
Again, thanks for all your support. We can’t wait to send you your Aura!

Lab Results Are IN !

Lab results are in and what are they showing us?
This past week we ran an additional experiment to validate the accuracy of our sensors and their real-time monitoring abilities to precisely identify VOC’s and CO2.
Our sensors were REMARKABLY accurate in identifying VOCs (Volatile organic compound) such as Formaldehyde and Ethanol.
Pictured: Sofia (left) our Environmental Engineer and Omri (right) our Embedded Engineer
So….What are VOCs?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a large group of chemicals that are found in many products we use to build and maintain our homes. Once these chemicals
are in our homes, they are released or “off-gas” into the indoor air we breathe.
Breathing in low levels of VOCs for long periods of time may increase some people’s risk of health problems. Several studies suggest that exposure to VOCs may worsen symptoms for people with asthma or who are particularly sensitive to chemicals.
It is important to remember that VOCs refer to a group of chemicals. Each chemical has its own toxicity and potential for causing different health effects.
Interesting Fact: A new study in Japan testing Formaldehyde levels in new homes showed an average concentration of 100 ppm. The same study tested those new homes for two years, compared them to older homes and found out that these levels decrease to an average of 64 ppm.
Common symptoms of exposure to HIGH levels of VOCs include:
Acute/short term exposures (hours to days)
- Eye, nose & throat irritation
- Headaches
- Nausea/vomiting
- Dizziness
- Worsening of asthma symptoms
Chronic exposures (years to a lifetime)
- Cancer
- Liver & kidney damage
- Central nervous system damage
What is CO2? What does it cause?
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the gas that people and plants exhale while breathing. High levels of indoor CO2 can cause headaches and disrupt a person’s concentration.
Interesting fact - carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and contributes to climate change. Plants can transform CO2 into oxygen so there are recommended plants for homes.
Curious to see what our sensor looks like?
Our next step is finalizing the filters test!
By the end of next week expect an update on the delivery dates !
