To our incredible Backers,
We know you’ve all been patiently waiting to hear what’s going on and apologize for the late update. With the Coronavirus and the progress being made here in our offices, we wanted to let you in on the most up-to-date information. Firstly, we would like to address the issue of Backer’s concern that our device is a scam. The challenge in creating Aura is not IF we will complete/ship the device, rather when. It’s no secret that things have taken longer than expected, however, we can assure that the reason for the delay is advancements and improvements we’ve made in the device itself.
What’s Happening?
As we all know, the Coronavirus outbreak is heavily affecting supply chains and disrupting manufacturing operations around the world. The Harvard business review predicts “that the peak of the impact of Covid-19 on global supply chains will occur in mid-March, forcing thousands of companies to throttle down or temporarily shut assembly and manufacturing plants”.
How is this affecting us?

Maya, our CMO is currently working on a STUNNING brand-new official Aura Air website!
We get it - the delay is untimely. You guys invested in a new device and expected to receive it according to the timeline. We too hoped to have shipped it out and moved on to the next phases of our company’s business goals. This is our reality and we have come to learn that innovative visions take time. We can 100% assure everyone that the device is coming along beautifully and is fulfilling all of its intended goals. We just ask for more time and patience as we turn this dream into life.

The Coronavirus

Dear Backers,
We know you all have heard of the Coronavirus and we would like to inform and share with you the information we have on this difficult event.
The Coronavirus belongs to the family of Coronaviruses that cause respiratory and digestive diseases of various animals from mammalian and poultry departments. Another family-related virus is the SARS virus. The current virus came from Hubei Province, China, from Wuhan City, probably from a local fish and seafood market that also sells many more animals and the first patients with the disease were people who visited the market. The virus passes from person to person similar to the influenza virus (Influenza) which is why it is so contagious.
The signs of illness caused by the Coronavirus are similar to those of the flu: fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. In fact, a clinical examination cannot be distinguished between infection with the new Coronavirus and many other respiratory diseases. In severe cases, the disease can lead to severe pneumonia, severe respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death. A virus diagnosis is only done through laboratory tests. His incubation time is 2-10 days, which means that a person who does not present a patient's symptoms can still be contagious.
China's operations and industry were greatly influenced by this virus and an immeasurable amount of companies were also affected. The Coronavirus created a new reality in which the Chinese authorities extended worker’s stay at home until this matter settles and workers are approved to return to their jobs. our factories in China are returning to work on March 10, subject to doctor approval and stringent tests. Once the panic is over and the routine resides in China properly, we can continue the production process as planned.
We did a status assessment with our factories in China and understood that the new situation would delay our production and have an influence on our product launching date. In light of the advanced developments we have undergone so far, we feel very confident in setting our goals for delivery, which will be achievable and doable.
Our estimated delivery date will be in May 2020.
Thank you for your understanding and support throughout this amazing process. We are incredibly excited to have Backers like you part of this magnificent process and even more excited to have you receive the final product. We are in love and we know you will be too.

New Update: The Focus Group

A CALL FOR FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS
We are excited to share the beginning of the Aura App Focus Group.
We are seeking to get feedback on your experience with our new app, as one of our earliest customers. The feedback will be used to improve our app and services before the official release. As a thank you for your time, all participants will receive a 10% off coupon for a filter in our store.
After we receive your responses and select a broad diversity of participants to join the Focus Group, we will notify whoever has been chosen to take part.

What's new?
We are excited to share that the contract with our Strategic Partner and manufacturer, Beit El Industries, has officially been SIGNED.

A little about Beit El Industries
Founded in 1974, Beth-El Zikhron Yaaqov Industries Ltd. is a leading designer and manufacturer of CBRN Air Filtration and Air Treatment Products, trusted worldwide for the expertise and customer-oriented solutions.
In more than 100 countries, Beth-El’s products are protecting people with top-quality equipment providing clean and filtered air, as well as sophisticated Ventilation / Air Filtration / Air Conditioning System.
What does this mean?
This means manufacturing has officially begun this month. This includes the manufacturing of mold injections, the Ray Filter, electronics, packaging, and the assembly line. The whole process is estimated to take 60-90 days. Shipping will begin directly after this process is completed. Stay updated for pictures of the progress!

New Update: Front Row Seats

Hey Kickstarter Family!
We are super excited to give you front row seats to the assembly of the Aura device by our CTO, Co-founder and newfound model, Eldar. In the video, you can see the step-by-step stages of building Aura. Don't worry - you won't ever have to do this yourself, were just letting you in on the fun :)
This week Sophia, our awesome Environmental Engineer ran an antibacterial efficiency test to evaluate the performance of Aura in reducing bacteria, yeast, and mold. Here's a small look into the experiment.
The app Focus Group is on its way – keep an eye out for a post coming soon on how to become part of it :)
